Benvenuti. The Italians Are Coming to Westfield.
Ferragosto! returns to Motor District on June 13, free to attend and free to show, with a Big Hoffa's lunch that costs $35 and is worth considerably more.
Ferragosto started as a Roman holiday. August, the height of summer, food and family and time away from ordinary life. We borrowed the spirit of it, aimed it squarely at the Italian automotive world, and brought it to Motor District every June. It fits.
Italian cars occupy a particular place in the conversation. They are not designed to be practical. They are designed to provoke a reaction, and they are very good at it. An Alfa at rest is already doing something. A Maserati in a parking lot draws people who didn't know they cared. On June 13, we'll have a field full of them at 1516 West Tournament Trail in Westfield, and the afternoon will take care of itself.
Invitations are going out now to Italian car owners across the region. Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia, Maserati. If you own one and haven't heard from us yet, you will. If you're not on our list and should be, reach out through artomobilia.com and we'll fix that.
Here's what makes Ferragosto! different from most events on the calendar: it costs nothing to attend and nothing to show. Bring your car. Bring a friend. Walk the field. Talk to the owners. The afternoon is free and open to everyone. Lunch is a different matter.
Adam Hoffman and the team at Big Hoffa's Smokehouse are back, and $35 gets you a seat at what is reliably one of the better meals of the automotive season.
Space is limited and it will fill. The event runs noon to 2pm. Come for the cars. Stay for everything else. Make plans to join us.
