Ferragosto! Was Magnifico!

Perfect weather, exceptional machinery, and the Indianapolis automotive community out in full force.

This update is running a little late, and the reason is a good one. We were heads-down making sure Ferragosto! was everything we wanted it to be. It was.

The weather cooperated, which never hurts. The Motor District campus and garage tours gave guests room to wander and a reason to linger. Our sponsors showed up in a real way, with T-Fiber, Autogeek, and THUSIA all helping make the afternoon possible.

The machinery was the kind that stops you mid-conversation. Graham Rahal Performance, Indianapolis Ducati, Rahal Motoplex, Napleton Italian Imports, and Motor District's next-door neighbor Unlimited Motors all brought exceptional Italian hardware. Our Artomobilia alumni added their own cars and collections, and the result was a campus full of the kind of vehicles people travel to see.

Jennifer Stormes and her team were on hand to share their vision for Veloce Hotels, Hamilton County's automotive-themed hotel experience. Chris Trowbridge brought the music, and the team at Big Hoffa's Smokehouse handled lunch, which is to say lunch was excellent.

What made the day, though, was the turnout. The Indianapolis automotive community came out in force, and that is what turns a good event into a memorable one. Cars are the anchor, but the people are the reason.

We're going to do it again, sort of. In July the focus shifts from Italian craftsmanship to American icons, in celebration of the country's 250th birthday. All-Americana lands Saturday, July 18th, from 12pm to 2pm at Motor District. Same campus, same hospitality, a very different lineup in the garages.

Thanks to everyone who made Ferragosto! what it was. We'll see you in July.
