Welcome Back, Bentley of Indianapolis
More than a century of style, performance, and heritage.
We're glad to welcome back Bentley of Indianapolis for a fourth year as an Artomobilia partner.
There's a particular rightness to Bentley being part of an event in this city, and the reason goes back more than a century. In May 1922, a driver named W.D. Hawkes shipped his 3 Litre Bentley across the Atlantic, drove it to Indianapolis, and entered it in the Indy 500. It was the first Bentley ever to run in the race. Against a field of purpose-built thoroughbred racers, Hawkes brought the car home in thirteenth, completing all five hundred miles at nearly 75 miles per hour. It remains, to this day, Bentley's only appearance in the greatest spectacle in racing.
That's the kind of heritage you can't manufacture. It has to be earned, one improbable chapter at a time, and Bentley has been earning it for over a hundred years.
More than a century later, the marque continues to offer a combination that few can match: style, performance, and a depth of history that speaks for itself. A modern Bentley is a genuinely remarkable machine, but it carries the weight of all that came before it, from Le Mans to the Brickyard, in a way that a newer name simply cannot.
We recognize Bentley of Indianapolis not only for the extraordinary cars they represent, but for their steady support of motorsports and the automotive community here in Indianapolis. Four years of partnership is a real commitment, and we're grateful for it.
This year, that partnership extends to the Veloce Hangar Party, where Bentley of Indianapolis joins us as a supporting sponsor. Even better, they're bringing the cars. Qualified Veloce attendees will have the chance to experience Bentley Ride & Drives during our Cars & Cocktails hour, beginning at 5:30pm on Friday, August 28th. It's a rare opportunity to get behind the wheel (before the cocktails part), or in the passenger seat, of a modern Bentley, and exactly the kind of experience that makes Veloce what it is.
Likewise, look for the two stunning Bentley of Indianapolis vehicles at Artomobilia, and take a moment to appreciate a marque whose story is woven into the history of Indianapolis automotive and motorsports community itself.
Join them at the VELOCE Hangar Party on August 28th, and find them at ARTOMOBILIA at the Evans May Wealth Patio Pitstop on August 29th.
