Acceptance Letters Are Out. Load-In Is Next.
Acceptance letters have gone out, and load-in instructions arrive this week.
Registration closed more than ten days ago, but for our team, the real work is just hitting its stride. Here's where things stand as we count down to Artomobilia.
Acceptance letters have gone out to every entrant for 2026 (if you didn’t get one, check your spam folder), each with the details that matter: which event, which group, and their judging preferences. If you've registered, that note is your confirmation that your car has a place in the show.
As a side note… while we appreciate that some in the automotive community are just hearing about Artomobilia, we’re not accepting any additional entries from the 100+ emails we received last week. While we would love to accommodate everyone, the constraints of space (in the District and Midtown) along with time it takes to complete placements severely limits our flexibility. (If you’ve participated in the event, you understand.) We’ll re-open registration for our 20th Anniversary in March of 2027.
Right now, we're deep in placements. This is the part that separates a thoughtful show from a parking lot, the careful, sometimes painstaking work of fitting each group into the Carmel Arts & Design District and Carmel Midtown so that every car is presented at its best. Five hundred vehicles across a downtown footprint is a puzzle with a lot of pieces, and we take the time to get it right.
Late this week, you'll begin receiving load-in instructions. These tell you when to arrive, which is important, and where to arrive, which is even more important. We'll send them more than once between now and show day, because the morning goes smoothly only when everyone knows their place and time. Watch for them, read them, and keep them handy.
That staggered, well-organized load-in is what makes the morning of Artomobilia feel calm instead of chaotic. It's one of the many small things our team is working through right now, all in service of a single goal: that every entrant and every guest has an exceptional day.
Registration may have closed, but the work of building a great show is fully underway.
Watch your inbox this week, and we'll see you on August 29th.
