Artomobilia Weekend Starts on Friday With Two Exceptional Events

The Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge and the Veloce Hangar Party are filling fast.

Artomobilia weekend opens on Friday, August 28th with two events worth building the day around, and time is running out to secure your place at both.

The Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge runs that afternoon at Motor District. Twenty-four exceptional restorations from Porsche's most noteworthy dealerships, judged up close, with dealership reps from across the country on hand. Lunch comes from Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, live music plays through the afternoon, and you're welcome to bring your own Porsche to join the display. New or old, fast or slow, every Porsche is welcome.

Then, as the light changes, the evening moves to the hangar. The Veloce Hangar Party, presented by Gator Motorsport, returns for its fourth year at the Jet Access Center in Zionsville. Fifty extraordinary performance cars set against a backdrop of private aircraft, with craft cocktails, a custom menu from Ruth's Chris, and live music. It's the hottest ticket at the end of August, and the tables and lounges tend to go first.

Together they make Friday every bit as good as the Saturday that follows, an afternoon of Porsche craftsmanship and an evening of wings and wheels, all before the main show even begins.

But both are filling, and neither waits. Once the Veloce lounges and tables are gone, they're gone, and the Restoration Challenge lunch has its own limits. If you've been meaning to make plans for Friday, this is the week to do it.
