Now That Summer Is Here, the Focus Turns to August
More space, more cars, more partners, and the same focus on what matters most.
Now that summer is here, our focus turns to August. There is a lot happening this year. New space along South Monon Boulevard, more cars, deeper integration with district merchants, more partners, more sponsors, more of everything. What stays exactly the same is our focus on what matters most. The cars are the stars.
Start with the Collector Car Classes, judged by our team led by George and Brandon Billeisen, a father-and-son duo who bring real care to the work. As you register for the Collector Classes, be deliberate about whether you want your car judged. That choice is yours to make.
Then there are the Enthusiast Corrals. Mostly car clubs, though not always, and always fascinating to see. Based on registrations, we occasionally balance the groups to present the cars at their best.
Last but never least are the Porsche, Lotus, BMW, and Mercedes groups that make up our Paloozas. There is something to seeing 75 or more years of style, heritage, and performance gathered into a single marque-specific collection.
Registration accelerates from June into July, then closes during the final week of July as we prepare for Saturday, August 29, the 19th Annual Artomobilia. Invariably, we turn down more than 100 cars after the close, not for lack of desire but because of capacity and logistics. Getting 500-plus cars to the right place at the right time without bumping into each other takes planning, and the first two weeks of August give us that window. So register early, and register often.
We are excited about our ongoing partnership with the City of Carmel, especially with this year being it’s 50th anniversary, our partners, our sponsors, and most of all our new and returning Artomobilia alumni. Have a look at the Collector Classes, Enthusiast Corrals, and Paloozas… get your car(s) registered… and we’ll look forward to seeing you in August.
